Does iFill work with all iPod models?

Almost. It works with all models except the iPhone and the iPod touch. In fact, the way iFill works makes it a perfect companion to an iPod shuffle.
Do I need a license key if I want to test iFill?

Yes. You can get a one week license key and if that is not enough you can get additional keys as well.
Does iFill send any private information when it connects at startup?

No. iFill only sends the license key and gets back the stations and the information about the latest iFill version. However, this will change slightly when we start sharing station information between users.
Does iFill work with my other mp3 players?

Not yet.
Must I be online to use iFill? What if iFill cannot verify the license key?

iFill is pretty useless without an internet connection.
Why is it that iFill does not use iTunes to store the music on my computer first? I want to keep the music I download.

iFIll does not encourage storing music from radio station on your hard disk. Mainly for protecting the artists copyrights but also to avoid cluttering your iTunes library with old songs.
But I just found this one great song that I want to keep. What should I do?

Buy it or donate to the radio station so they play it more often.
I want to record some radio show in the future. Is there a way to set a timer in iFill?

Not yet.
Why must iFill quit iTunes when I stop recording/eject the iPod/quit iFill?

iTunes would overwrite the updated iFill information because it does not know about iFill changing things on the iPod.
How many stations can I record at the same time?

As many as your internet connection can handle. Do the math: add all stream kbits and see if it exceeds your available bandwidth.
Do I really need to set the tiling offset for all stations I record? The offset seems to be different all the time.

Some stations don't have this constant. And it really isn't such a big deal anyway. If you play all recorded songs in the order they were recorded then all you hear is a short 1/2sec pause when your iPod switches from one song to another. It will simply not happen *exactly* at the place it should.
What are those circles in the main window?

They show you how much stuff is on your iPod. Green is for songs, gray for other files you've placed on your iPod via the Finder. And white is free space left.
When will there be a Windows version?

Soon.
Is this the same as "podcasting"?

Not really. Radio stations give you music 24/7 without the need to wait for new content. And iFill is mainly music oriented whereas podcasting is more news/show oriented.
Do I need an iPod to use iFill?

If you lack an iPod you can still use iFill as a net radio player.

Tips & Tricks

You can eject your iPod from the Finder and iFill will notice it automatically.

You can view the recording status when you click on the small triangle in the recording window.

During recording, iFill will try to reconnect to a station even when the connection is temporarily lost.

You can add non-shoutcast stations by holding the option key down when you add a new station in the main window.

iFill does not use your computers hard drive so there is no extra disk activity on your computer.
